Youth and Family Ministry

Summer is going quickly. By the end of the month most Youth and Teens will be back in school. Free time will be more limited but household routines will begin to come together again.
Youth students have continued learning about the 12 Powers. In July they studied Understanding, August is Will and September they will learn about the power of Order. All great insights and seem to be falling in sequence with the order of their lives!
Youth and Family ministry has been blessed for the past few years with donations through the use of Raley’s and Save Mart loyalty cards. This money has averaged around $500 and goes towards sending youth to camp and teens to retreats. We appreciate the support and hope you will continue to use these cards when you shop. If you do not use one please pick one up at Unity Central.
Blessings,
Mary Lou Banahan
Youth and Family Leader
Each Sunday
All children and teens come into the sanctuary at the end of the service and share their lesson for the day. They lead the congregation in the Prayer for Protection and participate in the Birthday blessings that are celebrated the first Sunday of the month.

The Prayer of Faith
God is my help in every need.
God does my every hunger feed.
God walks beside me, guides my way
Through every moment of the day.
I now am wise, I now am true,
Patient, kind and loving too.
All things I am, can do, and be
Through Christ, the Truth that is in me.
God is my health, I can't be sick;
God is my strength, unfailing, quick;
God is my all; I know no fear,
Since God and love and Truth are here.
-- Hannah More Kohaus --
This is an example of what we teach in Youth Education. One of the rare audio recordings of our cofounder Myrtle Fillmore is of her reciting this poem.
